My Google Sheet says "Sheet is private"

What causes this error

This error appears when SheetForge cannot access your Google Sheet because it is not set to public viewing.

How to fix it

1. Open your Google Sheet in a browser
2. Click Share in the top-right corner
3. Under "General access", change from "Restricted" to "Anyone with the link"
4. Ensure the role is set to Viewer
5. Click Copy link and try importing again

For private sheets

If your sheet must remain private, connect your Google account using the "Connect Google account" button on the generator page. SheetForge will use OAuth to access sheets your Google account has permission to view.
